Plus500 Brumbies backrower Will Miller is relishing the opportunity to play closer to home against the Sunwolves at Wollongong’s Win Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

The fixture, which was scheduled to be played in Japan, was relocated to Wollongong due to fears over the Coronavirus.

Miller, who grew up in Berry, played his junior football for the Shoalhaven Rugby Club and has fond memories of playing in grand finals at the NRL Dragons’ home ground.

“Yeah no its good, I can’t wait,” said an upbeat Miller.

“I played a few grand finals when I was younger there and it’s a great field.

“It’s close to home, which will give me a few days at home, which will be great.I guess there are a lot of boys I grew up paying with, saying they are going to take the day off work and come along.

“It’ll be good to see them and hopefully they don’t heckle me too much,” Miller laughed.

Looking ahead to the Brumbies test against the Sunwolves, who are currently placed last in the Australian Conference, Miller said his side will still need to play to their strengths, if they are to come away with maximum points.

“We’ve got a great side but they are pretty unpredictable, “Miller said.

“We have to play our game. Do what we do well and just focus on that as much as possible.

“Don’t take anything away from them, because they will hurt you if you don’t show up with your A game.”
