To celebrate this year’s Rugby World Cup in Japan, Brumbies Rugby will be holding its annual fundraising event – the World in Union Luncheon presented by Gow Gates– at Hotel Realm on Friday 30 August.
Previously titled State of the Union, the event is a highlight of the Canberra business calendar and aims to help the development of rugby in the ACT and Southern NSW, supporting future Wallabies and Wallaroos.Guests will be entertained by MC former Wallaby, 2003 Rugby World Cup veteran and Brumby legend, Justin Harrison, as the event MC, and joined by current Brumbies players and coaching staff, past and present, as well as many other sporting figures.
Justin will be also hosting a special Wallaby Panel, with leading figures from the world of rugby discussing topical issues and taking questions from guests.
This hugely popular 500-person event boasts a three-course lunch and beverages with guests being able to bid on highly sought-after items in a ‘Live Auction’ including a number of ‘money can’t buy’ experiences including VIP game packages which feature delivery of the game day ball and doing the famous coin toss at one of next year’s fixtures.
Guests will enjoy pre-lunch drinks and canapes, with the opportunity to mingle with current players, coaches and past heroes, as well as networking with other business people across the region.
