ActewAGL light up the Navy Canberra Vikings

Local service provider, ActewAGL, has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the Navy Canberra Vikings. The new deal was announced along with a continuation of ActewAGL’s sponsorship of the CA Brumbies for a further three years. The ActewAGL logo will appear on the sleeve of the playing Navy Canberra Vikings jersey for 2007. ActewAGL has also extended their sponsorship of the CA Brumbies until 2009. Brumbies Rugby CEO Andrew Fagan says he is pleased to continue the four-year partnership with ActewAGL through the Navy Canberra Vikings and the CA Brumbies. “ActewAGL have been long-term sponsors of rugby and sport at all levels in the ACT,” he said. “We’re delighted to have a leading home-grown organisation supporting us for the next three years.” ActewAGL supports more than 150 local charities, events and sporting groups in the Canberra community and the surrounding region. ActewAGL CEO John Mackay says they are proud to be involved with the Navy Canberra Vikings during the foundation years of the Mazda Australian Rugby Championship (ARC). “We’re very pleased to have this opportunity to again be involved in rugby and support the Canberra community” he said. “The Navy Canberra Vikings and the Australian Rugby Championship is an important link in the rugby pathway and we’re excited about supporting the Brumbies and Wallabies of the future.” “We realise the importance of having a competitive Canberra team in the ARC and hope our support can continue to contribute to the ongoing success of rugby in and around the ACT.” The Navy Canberra Vikings commence their 2007 Mazda Australian Rugby Championship campaign on Saturday, 11 August against the Melbourne Rebels at Manuka Oval. General Admission tickets for Mazda ARC matches are currently on sale from Canberra Ticketek and all Ticketek agencies.
