The University of Canberra Brumbies have linked with Classic Sportswear as their Official Apparel Partner 15 years after the two organisations last worked together.
Having stripped the Brumbies during the 1996 and 1997 Super 12 seasons, Classic has a proven track record with rugby which will develop further in 2014.
Classic has committed to supplying the Brumbies with cutting edge, high performance sportswear for the next five Super Rugby seasons, running between 2014 and 2018.
Synonymous with some of Australia's most memorable playing strips in both rugby league and rugby union, Classic's high standards make a positive match for the Brumbies as they embark on a new era of success.
"Naturally the Brumbies are delighted to announce this new partnership with Classic considering their long-standing with professional sport in Australia," Brumbies Rugby General Manager, George de Crespigny said.
"Classic have committed to providing the Brumbies with world class apparel that will make our players stand out while they train and play.
"In addition to the regular requirements of an apparel partner, Classic's sister company Yetimo has confirmed it will take care of our 2014 Membership Fulfillment Program which is also an exciting prospect for the Brumbies."
As two iconic Australian brands, Classic and Brumbies Rugby promise to provide fans with top-quality supporters gear to keep warm at Canberra Stadium during winter.
Most recently Classic has dressed the NSW Blues State of Origin rugby league team, one of Australia's most recognisable and respected strips.
Classic's Director, Dave Dinning was also pleased to announce the partnership.
"We are certainly excited about this partnership and the direction that the Brumbies are heading," Dinning said.
"We were their first supplier when they came into the competition and it is great to be back on board with them.
"They have proven to be a very professional team and organisation and have the most successful record of all of the Australian franchises. We are extremely excited to join them on their journey towards a Super Rugby championship."
Beyond the Brumbies, Classic's move into rugby will see the apparel company link with local clubs and other Canberra institutions. Already we have seen Classic well represented in the community, with Western Districts Lions enjoying top quality kit for the last five seasons in Canberra's John I Dent Cup.
Classic apparel is expected to arrive for retail purchase by Christmas with the team to be sporting Classic Sportswear apparel come the 2014 pre-season.
