The Brumbies Under 16’s Representative Team will travel to Sydney on Sunday to compete at the Australian National Under 16 Rugby Union Championships. The team is made up of boys from the ACTJRU and surrounding Brumbies districts of Southern Inland and South Coast Monaro and will be tested against the likes of NSW, Queensland, Western Australia and Victoria.
The Brumbies Squad has had a good preparation with a strong win over Victoria and wake-up loss to Sydney Juniors over the last month in trial games.
Brumbies Development Coordinator and also Head Coach of the team Russell Ingram, said “This squad is one of the strongest we have selected in the last few years and our expectations of the boys to do well is realistic. We will need to play at our best, if we do; I expect the team to seriously challenge any of the teams they confront over the week”.
“This tournament is the first stepping-stone for boys to showcase their talents at a national level. Hopefully our boys can do that and take the opportunity to gain further representative selection in the years to come at a Brumbies and Australian Schoolboys Level”.

The Squad is: Tyrel Lomax (SEC), Lewis Oswald (Marist), Folau Fifita (SEC), Samuel Allen (Leeton), Joshua Pearce (SEC), Dean Paragali (Marist), Suita Tai (Marist), Brodie Leber (Wests), Mitchell Douch (SEC), Jordan Hope (SEC), Edward Jones (Vikings), Liam Simonsson (Marist), Tom Evans (Marist), Viliami Fangaiuiha (Uni-Norths), Jack Hickson (Marist), Davis Jenesen (Wests), Faalelei Sione (Vikings), Samuel Simmonds (Tumut), Nick de Crespigny (Grammar), Charlie McKenzie (Uni-Norths), Sam Ross (Marist), Tyson Olsson (Wests).
