Vinnies doorknock lands at Brumbies HQ

This Friday will not only see the University of Canberra Brumbies taking on the Western Force, they will also be taking on a much bigger opponent in partnering with the St Vincent de Paul Society to raise funds and awareness for the annual doorknock appeal.

Each February ‘Vinnies’ knock on doors in the community  to raise much needed funds for people in need in the Canberra region. The funds raised from Doorknock cover the provision of food, emergency accommodation, clothing, school fees, medical costs, and other financial assistance that helps lessen the burden from those needing assistance. Doorknock is an important local annual appeal for the Society to raise funds for people in need, and has a 30 year history in Canberra and Queanbeyan.

The University of Canberra Brumbies have thrown their support behind the St Vincent de Paul Society and you can too by giving generously when someone knocks on your door, by visiting www.vinnies.org.au or by donating at the game this Friday.
