University of Canberra Brumbies arrive in Darwin
The University of Canberra Brumbies have landed in Darwin ready for their first trial game against the Western Force on Saturday night.
A squad of 35 has been named for the match, the first for the University of Canberra Brumbies under new Head Coach Jake White.
Having taken control of the team more than six months ago, White has chosen 14 new players to travel to Darwin and fans can expect to see the majority of those boys play on Saturday night.
"We've got a vastly different squad to the one that travelled to Darwin last year, including the staff and coaches," White said.
"This will present us with a range of challenges but every player here has been performing well at training and is ready to play the Force.
"It's been a long pre-season. I know the boys were excited at breakfast this morning and I'm happy for them to have this opportunity. It's good for them to be touring again."
The University of Canberra Brumbies will undertake a range of civic based projects to introduce rugby to schools and community groups throughout the Territory.
The team would like to thank the NT Government for their support in this tour.
