Brumbies scrumhalf Nic White has packed his razor away for Movember to raise some cash and awareness for men’s health.
Movember is now one of the world’s biggest health campaigns across the globe, stretching through North America, Asia, Europe and South America.
White was one of several players who declared themselves furry for November. A veteran of three Movember campaigns, White has been accused of cheating having started his growth nearly a month ago.
“I’ve actually had this growing for the last three weeks, which I know isn’t in the rules but I’m still running with it,” White said.
“We’ve got profile shots next week so I’ll trim it up nicely for that. Last year mum wasn’t happy with my handle-bar profile shot so we may have to go for something a bit more conservative.
“It’s a good cause and a bit of fun so I’m always pretty keen to get involved.”
As well as growing Mo’s the club has set up fund raising boxes around Brumbies HQ with some top-class Schick products walking out the door for just $2.
Other Brumbies like Ben Alexander and Peter Kimlin have been know to grow thick crops on their upper lips and will be looked to for moustache-mentoring through to the end of spring.
New players Joseph Tomane and Tevita Kuridrani have also committed to the cause.
The Brumbies will update White’s progress via Twitter and Facebook throughout Movember. Use the hashtags #MovemberAus and #BrumbiesMo.
