Team settles in South Africa

It may be overcast and a bit chilly but the CA Technologies Brumbies are enjoying Cape Town after the extended squad reached South Africa on Sunday night.

The tour’s first training session on Monday afternoon also proved a success, with lots of talk and quality skills leading the way to the CA Technologies Brumbies first game against the Cheetahs on Friday night [Saturday morning AEST].

Head Coach Tony Rea stayed behind to watch the extended squad members play for their Sydney club sides on Saturday, arriving with Pat Phibbs, Salesi Ma’afu. Robbie Coleman, Tyrone Smith, Jono Owen and Franky Fainifo.

The team to play the Cheetahs will be named on Wednesday.

The CA Technologies Brumbies have enjoyed a bye week, but will now focus on taking on the Cheetahs at Bloemfontein on Friday evening at 7.10pm [3.10am, AEST, live on Fox Sports 1.

The team will fly from Cape Town to Bloemfontein on Thursday morning.
