The University of Canberra Brumbies have been advised of an increase to parking prices at GIO Stadium which will take effect at the first home game of the season against the Reds, 22 February.
A $2 increase – the first since 1999 – raises the parking price from $5 to $7. The price rise has been implemented by the ACT Government to match increased operational costs at GIO Stadium.
UC Brumbies supporters attending home games are reminded that a ticket to match provides free transport on ACTION buses to and from the game.
Constantly monitored by a group of security guards, the car parking at GIO Stadium remains the cheapest for Australian Super Rugby venues despite the $2 price hike.
The following information has been supplied directly from the ACT government.
Territory Venue and Events (TVE) advises that the parking fees at GIO Stadium Canberra will increase from $5 to $7. The change will be introduced at the Brumbies v Reds game on Saturday 22 February 2014.
