The University of Canberra Brumbies launched their 2014 playing strip and new merchandise range on Tuesday, with plenty of options for supporters coming to games in summer, autumn or winter.
Designed and produced by iconic Australian apparel company Classic, the new range intertwines the UC Brumbies heritage in their home jersey with something completely fresh in the away strip.
While the traditional jersey remains much the same as it has since 1996, the away jersey has undergone some radical changes and is now primarily gold with navy stitching.
Home socks and shorts remain navy blue with gold and white panelling while the away shorts will be primarily white with gold socks.
A full range of supporter’s merchandise, including hoodies, winter coats, polo shirts, beanies and caps will also be available for purchase from Tuesday running with the same themes and colours as the elite kit fans will see the player’s wear.
UC Brumbies Sponsorship Manager Kirsty Norwood said she expected the new kits to be popular with both fans and players.
“Thanks to Classic our players will be wearing one of the most exciting kits in the 2014 competition,” Norwood said.
“The new, gold away strip is sure to be popular with supporters, particularly our younger fans who will be able to pick up a youth jersey in either home or away.
“It’s a tough ask to improve what is already an impressive playing kit but I think Classic have hit the mark. We’ve had plenty of positive feedback on all of the kit we are revealing today and I’m looking forward to seeing it scattered through the crowd at our first home game.”
