A product of rugby nursery The Scots College in Sydney, Sam Carter has been a force at Lock for the Brumbies since making his debut in 2011.

Never one to take a step back, the 2m tall workhorse has 12 Wallabies caps to his name and was included in the Wallabies 2015 World Cup squad despite suffering a knee injury prior to the tournament.

Carter’s determination to return from injury is just one of the many reasons he is now regarded as the premier-tight-head lock in Australian Rugby.

The son of former Wallaby, David Carter, Sam has become a leader for the Brumbies on and off the field.

After 79 caps for the Brumbies, Carter is one of the Super Rugby side’s most experienced players at the tender age of just 27.

Alongside locking partner Rory Arnold, Carter will be pushing for more Wallabies opportunities in 2017.
