Young centre Len Ikitau is promoted to the Brumbies Wider Training Squad for the 2019 campaign following a succession of sparkling performances at local club level and his emergence through the Brumbies newly re-installed Academy program.

Ikitau, a hard-running back, was a member of the Canberra Vikings side that made it all the way to the Grand Final of the National Rugby Championship last season and was once again in excellent form for his club side, Tuggeranong Vikings, as they claimed the Griffin Legal John I Dent Cup.

Ikitau’s strong showings at that level manifested itself in half-a-dozen tries for Vikings as they took home the silverware.

A product of Brisbane Boys College in Toowong, Queensland, the Brisbane-born Ikitau has all the necessary attributes to make the grade at the Super Rugby level magnified by a brace of cameo appearances for the Brumbies Runners in wins over Randwick and Rebels ‘A’.

Ikitau’s form in Viking colours last season caught the eye of Brumbies fans and the wider Australian rugby community alike, the slick-centre earning Rugby.com.au’s rising star award for Round 7.
