One of the club’s most popular players both on and off the field, Christian Lealiifano is quickly developing into a star who will go down as one of the Brumbies all-time greats.

Now in his ninth season of rugby with the Brumbies, Lealiifano arrived in Canberra from Melbourne as a fresh-faced Australian Schools, Sevens and U21s representative, bursting with potential.

A player who reguarly gives his time to support community and charity events, Lealiifano has eclipsed 100 caps for the Brumbies. Stephen Larkham once described him as the “heart and soul” of the Brumbies side.

His 635 points entering the 2016 Super Rugby season ranks him second all-time on the Brumbies point-scorers list while he also feature on the club’s record books for most points in a match, equal 4th, with 22 points against the Chiefs in the 2013 Super Rugby Final. That match also saw Lealiifano claim the record for most points in a Final for the Brumbies – despite the team narrowly going down in the dying moments.

Making his overall career tallies more remarkable are the serious injuries Lealiifano has successfully battled throughout his career. Multiple shoulder reconstructions, a broken leg and an ankle reconstruction have all come and gone for Lealiifano, who has remarkably lost little of his acceleration and none of his world class ball playing skills despite the blows.
