The Plus500 Brumbies will take on the best of Australian and New Zealand rugby in 2021 with Super Rugby AU and aThe Trans-Tasman tournament confirmed for next year.
The Trans-Tasman competition will feature all 10 Super Rugby teams with the Brumbies playing each New Zealand team once, two home and two away with an exciting ‘Super Round’ added where all matches in Round Three will be played at one location, over one weekend.
The Final will be played between the top two placed teams on the combined competition table with the team who finished first to host the decider.
Super Rugby AU will follow the same format at 2020, with teams playing each other both home and away, top spot going straight to the grand-final with the other spot going to the winner of two v three.
Kick-off times, dates and venues will be announced in due course, while details on 2021 Brumbies memberships will be confirmed shortly.
All matches in both tournaments will be live and on demand, ad-free, through Stan’s new streaming sport package which will launch in 2021 in Australia.
A selected match during each week of the tournament will also be simulcast live free-to-air on the Nine Network.
