Plus500 Brumbies Academy product Issak Fines has returned to the club with the halfback signing a deal for the 2020 Super Rugby season.

The former Junior Wallabies international spent the past two seasons with the Western Force.

Fines, who was recognised as the Queensland Club Player of the year in 2016,  came to Canberra in 2017 where he dominated the Griffin Legal John I Dent Cup with the Gungahlin Eagles.

“I'm really excited to be coming back to Canberra and signing with the Brumbies,” Fines said.

“I already know a bunch of the boys having been part of the Brumbies pathways system before so it should be an easy transition back into the club.

“I loved my time in Perth and I want to thank everyone at the Force for giving me my first taste of professional rugby.

"I’m looking forward to what the future holds for me at the Brumbies.”

Brumbies Head Coach, Dan McKellar, said Fines ability to snipe and test defences could give his side some extra fire power going into 2020, with Joe Powell and Ryan Lonergan already signed for next season.

“Issak is natural footballer,” McKellar explained.

“His physical gifts, his pace and his strength for a halfback and his eye for space are things that make him a real attacking threat.

“He's been good for the Force and we believe he's ready for that next level. For us as coaches it's going to be about getting the best out of him and getting him ready for Super Rugby.”

You can catch Issak in action for the Brumbies in the 2020 Super Rugby season and the best way to do so is to purchase a Plus500 Brumbies Membership.
