Meet the Stars at Wagga Country Visit

The Plus500 Brumbies will be heading to Country this Sunday as they travel interstate to Conolly Rugby Park and Jubilee Sports Complex in Wagga for the Southern Inland Rugby Union Gala Day being held at the iconic venue. 

The complete Brumbies Super Rugby squad, as well as some members of the club’s successful Women’s Buildcorp Super W set-up, will converge on Wagga for the annual Gala Day, traditionally one of the largest country rugby carnivals in the region.

The Brumbies squad, replete with international stars such as Wallabies David Pocock, Allan Alaalatoa, Scott Sio, Joe Powell, Henry Speight and Rory Arnold will be on hand at the event from 11am-2pm undertaking a variety of tasks to help support the day’s activities.

You can catch your favourite Brumbies running water and refereeing junior matches, as well as taking the team’s warm-up, providing support for coaches and talking and mingling with parents, players and supporters.

Make sure you grab a photo or an autograph with your favourite player!Around 1,300 children from eleven clubs from throughout the Southern Inland zone will take to the field in Wagga with eight fields being used to play what promises to be a series of exciting and action-packed matches across the day.

There will be action in U6s through to U16s, tackle/modified tackle competitions, with mixed games played up to U12s whilst from U12 to U16 there will be Foxtel Touch 7s action for the girls’ teams to enjoy. 

All 35 contracted Brumbies Super Rugby players will be at the event, alongside Aussie Women’s Sevens superstar Alicia Quirk to cheer on the children. if that’s not enough, you can also stock up on all your Brumbies merchandise with a wide variety of Plus500 Brumbies gear available throughout the day from 8.30am to 12.30pm.
