13 Mar BarTV Sports to provide Live Streaming Services of Griffin Legal John I Dent Cup
With the 2018 Griffin Legal John I Dent competition looming large fans will be well catered for being able to continue to watch games online following an agreement between ACT & SNSW Rugby Union and BarTV Sports.
Under the one-year deal BarTV Sports will film all Premier Grade games (1st Grade, 2nd Grade and Colts) including finals, with the Griffin Legal John I Dent Hahn Super Dry Match of the Round streamed live, while the other Premier Division 1st Grade matches will be on a delayed broadcast.
While clubs will continue to have access to footage from their games for review and analysis purposes, excitingly BarTV Sports will also be producing a weekly highlights package, further enhancing our fan offerings.
BarTV Sports Co-Founder, Brendan McCormick said BarTV Sports is delighted to be covering the Griffin Legal John I Dent competition.

Last year’s competition received approximately 143,000 views, highlighting the popularity of local club rugby and BarTV Sports are looking forward to the opportunity of growing this viewership further.

“BarTV Sports were the providers of the live stream for the Brumbies recent trial against the Melbourne Rebels and it was a good synergy to continue that relationship.
“BarTV Sports’ experience in producing and streaming across a number of grass-roots and mid-tier sporting competitions will be highly valued as we look to further grow the competition on the back of the resurgence of grassroots rugby over the past twelve months.”
Local sports media identity Brett McKay will lead the live streaming coverage alongside local club co-commentators throughout the season providing expert analysis of the competition.
The Griffin Legal John I Dent Cup competition kicks off on Saturday 7 April with three matches taking place. Champions Royals travel to Viking Park to take on Tuggeranong, Easts host Uni-Norths Owls at Griffith Oval and Queanbeyan Whites meet Gungahlin Eagles at Campese Oval.
