07 Dec Brumbies Youth ready for Sevens
The Plus500 Brumbies tilt at the Australian National Youth Sevens Championships commence this weekend as the competition gets underway in Ballymore, Brisbane over Saturday and Sunday.
Both the Boys and Girls teams have tough looking assignments with only the top two sides in the pools guaranteed of moving on into the Cup Semi-Finals on Day Two of the tournament.
The Girls begin their pool matches with a clash against the National Indigenous select. Further pool matches follow against Northern Territory, Queensland Red and NSW White.
The Boys campaign kicks off against Western Australia with tough challenges to follow against NSW White, Queensland Red and Northern Territory.
“It’s a tough draw for both of our teams but we have prepared well and the teams are looking forward to the competition,” Russell Ingram, Pathways Head Coach commented.
“We are hoping to improve on our performances of last year and have a real crack at making the Cup semi-finals. From there anything can happen, but its most important for us to perform well on the day.”
