Batemans Bay produced their best performance of the year in both attack and defence to defeat the young Sharks at their home ground at Dickinson Park Bermagui. A try in the first 5 minutes and another 10 minutes before half time had the Boars go into half time break leading 15 to 6. Despite losing vice captain and prop Dave Fleming with a dislocated shoulder the Boars were clinical in the second half to score another two tries and win the 2008 Tooheys Ted Eager Shield and the Vikings Trophy.
