2008 Coach Re-Accreditation

 

Level 1

 

The cost for re-accreditation is $44.00 which will be invoiced upon completion of the Law, Safety & Coaching exam and confirmation of the assessment date and time.

 

A Level 1 coach will have to complete the following:

 

     a)       Be SmartRugby compliant (attend SmartRugby every two years)

     b)       A Law and safety update examination with a pass mark >90%

    c)           I.Be practically assessed by a Brumbies Rugby appointed & trained assessor

                                                                           Or

                   II. Provide evidence of coaching by producing most recent yearly training diary

On completion, the coach will be deemed to be re-accredited at Level 1.

 

 

Level 2

 

A Level 2 coach will have to complete the following:

 

     a)       Be SmartRugby compliant (attend SmartRugby every two years)

     b)       A Law and safety update examination with a pass mark >90%

    c)          I.Be practically assessed by a Brumbies Rugby appointed & trained assessor

                                                                           Or

                   II. Provide evidence of coaching by producing most recent yearly training diary

On completion & check off, the coach will be deemed to be re-accredited at Level 2.

 

 

Level 3

 

Demonstrate current coaching practice through;

a)

I.         Coaching two of the last four years above the Level of U14 teams

II.        Have attended a Coach Education seminar or equivalent in the last two years, and

III.       Mentor a Level 2 Coach and

IV.   Provide their last coaching diary to the ARU Coaching Manager.

                   V.       Complete a Game Management Guidelines Document exam with 100% as a requirement.

 

                                                  Or

 

Be a current coach educator by;

b)

I.           Presenting at Level 2 accreditation courses, and

         II.          Mentoring a Level 2 coach, and/or

         III.          Develop coaching resources for the ARU, and/or

      IV.         Presenting at SmartRugby or Foundation courses and/or

V.          Assessing Level I Coaches.

 

In both a) and b) above individuals must have completed a SmartRugby seminar to be compliant (as a mandatory pre-requisite).

 

Individuals who do not meet the above criteria may be re-assessed under the Level 2 competency requirements.
