Alfie Mafi will run on for the Brumby Runners on Friday against the Australian Barbarians

The Brumby Runners have included five CA Brumbies in their starting XV to take on the Australian Barbarians tomorrow at Canberra Stadium.

The match will feature CA Brumbies Jerry Yanuyanutawa, Sitaleki Timani, Henry Vanderglas, Alfie Mafi and Andrew Smith as the curtain-raiser to the CA Brumbies first home match of the season against the Lions.

Prop Jono Owen will also start after returning as part of the CA Brumbies’ squad for their two-match tour of South Africa.

The Runners make their first appearance at Canberra Stadium after defeating Sydney’s Northern Suburbs 66-14 at Viking Park last weekend. The performance saw winger Kurt Mulcahy cross for two tries, as did Tyler Stevens, who has been bracketed with Jesse Mogg at fullback after suffering a quad injury

Centre Ed Stubbs will also look to continue his excellent Runners form this season but is in doubt with a hip flexor injury.

The match will kick off at 5.20pm.
