The Queanbeyan Whites have won the annual Vodafone Club Shield for 2008. The Whites, who also claimed last year’s John I Dent Cup premiership during the regular season, took out the pre-season competition ahead of last year’s Champions, the Tuggeranong Vikings.

The CA Brumbies will travel across regional NSW and the Far South Coast on Friday, 28 March to meet their fans as part of the annual ActewAGL Country Visits. The ActewAGL Country Visits, now in their fifth year, brings CA Brumbies players to 12 NSW regional centres to meet supporters and visit young rugby players in the area.

Canberra local rugby club, the Uni-Norths Owls, and CA Brumbies sleeve sponsor, DHL, have combined to provide more than 60 kilograms of rugby gear and clothing to the Tongan Rugby Union. The Pacific Island rugby nation has been given pre-loved jerseys, shorts, socks and boots for local players in the region.

Local service provider, ActewAGL, has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the Navy Canberra Vikings. The new deal was announced along with a continuation of ActewAGL’s sponsorship of the CA Brumbies for a further three years.
