| In an extraordinary gesture of courage and selflessness, Wallaby and Brumbies fullback Julian Huxley has put thoughts of his own oncology treatment momentarily aside by today announcing he will cycle from Canberra to Orange to raise money for Cancer Care Western NSW.

The Royals have marched into the preliminary final after an entertaining 40-24 win over a brave Gungahlin Eagles side today at Viking Park.
The Queanbeyan Whites have overcome a determined Easts outfit to secure their place in the 2008 Tooheys New John I Dent Cup grand final. The defending premiers qualified for their second successive decider with a narrow 17-12 major semi final win over the Griffith-based club at Viking Park this afternoon.
Royals lock/back-rower Sokai Tai has won the 2008 Macdougall Medal awarded at the ACT & Southern NSW Rugby Unions Macdougall Medal and Presentation Dinner tonight.
The 24-year-old back-rower (20 votes) finished ahead of Easts flanker Henry Vanderglas (16) and Gungahlin centre Matt Hawke (14).
