No one deserves a comeback to greatness more than David Pocock.

Unfortunate bouts with knee injuries have only slowed down this hugely experience open-side flanker but have limited Poey to only a handful of matches for the Brumbies over the last two seasons.

As a marquee signing in the 2013 David has already fit into the Brumbies’ back rooms as a steadfast leader in the game. With an intelligible and compassionate disposition David also continues to lead by example off of the pitch as an expressive individual.

Having amassed 69 Super Rugby caps for the Western Force before making his move to the East coast, David still has plenty to shoot for in 2015 and beyond. This year will mark a decade since David’s start in Super Rugby even though he is still only at the ripe age of 26.

Considered a master at the breakdown, David has had a number of standout seasons for the Western Force and was one of the star players for Australia in the 2011 World Cup. If he can manage to recapture just half of the form since he last played, us Canberrans will be very lucky indeed.

With some luck away from injury Poey will look to reaffirm his prolific status as one of the world’s best rugby players.
