Granted he keeps himself of the injury list, 2015 will give Scott Sio the chance to make a half ton of ‘Brumbies on his chest’, at the fresh age of 23.

The son of former Samoan Test prop Tevita ‘David’ Sio, Scotty is quickly proving that his family’s rugby heritage will not end with his father’s name. After just three seasons with the Brumbies following the 2014 Super Rugby season, he has already made 36 Super Rugby caps, also having been called up to the Wallabies on five occasions.

This powerhouse prop was unlucky not to add more green and gold notches to his belt due to an ankle injury sustained in training and subsequently was not able to participate with the Wallabies in the Rugby Championship or the end of year Spring Tour. The silver lining is that Scott has been given a chance for a full pre-season in Canberra, ready to roll back into the front row come the season opener.

One of the biggest weapons that Canberra has to boast, Scott will look to recapture his form of recent Super Rugby seasons to take the Brumbies all the way in 2015. With one eye on the World Cup in July, only time will tell if he can look to do the same with the Wallabies too.
