Pat McCabe will look to bounce back from a series of serious injuries to resume his place as one of Australia’s premier backs.
With more feathers in his cap than Robin Hood, McCabe has tried and perfected most positions across the backline having played professionally at fullback, inside centre, outside centre and on the wing.
It’s been at inside centre McCabe has had the most impact and he was a mainstay there for the Wallabies during the 2011 and 2012 international seasons.
Long touted as a leader of the squad, McCabe lets his on-field work do the talking with one of the most complete defensive games in the competition. If there is a gap to be plugged, McCabe is generally your guy, a quality displayed during the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
For the UC Brumbies, McCabe has also been a key element in the backline’s attack thanks to his hard running and ability to read the game several plays ahead.
McCabe needs just one game to crack 50 caps for the UC Brumbies.
