The CA Technologies Brumbies have held two training sessions at Durban’s Northwood School this week, having arrived at the coastal city on Saturday.
The team trained well on both occasions, with injury concerns Mitch Chapman, Peter Kimlin (both arm) and Dan Palmer (foot) having improved as the week progressed. All three are expected to play.
After being invited to paintballing on Monday, Captain Matt Giteau was confident the team had settled into Durban and was a good chance of righting the wrongs made against the Cheetahs last Friday night.
“We need to be more focussed and committed from the start of the match,” Giteau said.
“That will be something we are looking at tightening up against the Sharks.
“Once again our discipline will also have to improve – Pat Lambie is a very good goal kicker and will make us pay if we let him.”
The team to play the Sharks will be announced on Thursday. The CA Technologies Brumbies face the Sharks at ABSA Stadium; kick-off 7.10pm, Friday 7 May [3.10am, Sunday, 8 May AEST].
