Land Rover Australia announced today that is has extended its sponsorship with the UC Brumbies for a third year, taking it through until the end of the 2015 Super Rugby season.
The sleeve sponsor for the past two years, Land Rover will continue to work closely with the UC Brumbies and the Canberra community to support the team’s growth. The extension will be another welcome off field boost to the club, which in recent times has secured some key on-field signings including Wallabies Scott Fardy, Christian Lealiifano and Matt Toomua, as well as seeing Brumbies legend Stephen Larkham resign as the Brumbies Head Coach for a further three season.
Tim Kreiger, Land Rover Australia Brand Manager was pleased to announce the partnership.
“Land Rover is thrilled to be furthering our partnership with the Brumbies into 2015," Mr Kreiger said.
"After two very strong seasons both on and off the field it was an easy business decision to extend our association in what we hope will be a long term partnership. With our global sponsorship of the Rugby World Cup in 2015 is was extremely important for us to secure our Brumbies sponsorship locally as a key driver of Land Rover’s support of Rugby in Australia.”
UC Brumbies General Manager, Simon Chester was also excited by the extension.
"Land Rover is one of the world most respected and trusted brands so naturally we were excited by the prospect of continuing our relationship with them in 2015," Chester said.
"The contribution Land Rover makes to the club cannot be understated. Through their continued support both on and off the field, Land Rover afford us opportunities we would otherwise not be able to explore.
"The Behind the Brumbies series which was shot by Land Rover early this year has had plenty of positive feedback, both internally and externally. It’s a great example of what’s possible when the Brumbies partner with a cutting edge brand like Land Rover."
