Brumbies Provincial too good for Australian Services

The Brumbies Provincial Representative side is being hailed another big success in 2013 after downing the Australian Services Rugby Union 44-36.

In a tough encounter, the boys from the bush pulled off an upset after leading at halftime 27-17.

It’s the second consecutive year the Brumbies Provincial side has managed a win over tough opposition, with the 2012 side putting away the Australian Police.

Played on the ASRU home turf at RMC, the Provincial side threw everything at their opposition and eventually walked away with a well deserved win.

Best for the Provincial side was Hamish Wrafter at flyhalf, while winger Matt Caldwell also had a great afternoon bagging a brace of tries.

Drawing from Brumbies regional centres like Southern Inland, South Coast and Monaro, the Brumbies Provincial side is a fantastic pathway for country rugby players to test themselves against some of Australia’s better players.
