Come and Try Rugby 7's
Brumbies Rugby invites any females 16 years or over to “Come and Try” 7’s Rugby on Saturday 11th February at Griffith Oval, commencing at 1.00pm. Experienced players and coaches will be on hand to run through a series of skills and drills and a free sausage sizzle will be provided at the conclusion of the session.
7’s Rugby is a shortened version of Rugby, is extremely quick with a lot of action and has recently been included as an Olympic Sport for the 2016 Olympics. There are a number of Women’s 7’s events in early 2012 culminating in the Women’s National 7’s Tournament in April, so if you are interested in being a part of this exciting and growing sport, “come and have a try on the 11th February!

Brumbies Rugby invites any female over the age of 16 to attend Brumbies Women's 7's Rep Team trainings on Monday evenings from 7:00pm @ Griffith Ovals (Cnr Captain Cook Cresent & Austin St, Griffith).

Women's rugby in the ACT has continued to show huge improvements in 2011 producing a number of Wallaroos and claiming second place to Queensland at the National Championships in Brisbane in July.
The Brumbies were just five points down when the siren sounded for the final against the red-hot Queenslanders, with a controversial try in the first-half deciding the closest of margins.
Despite being disappointed with the narrow loss to the Queenslanders, the Brumbies returned to Canberra and to their local teams with a fresh resolve to claim the title in 2012.
