Wandering the streets of Canberra, a wild horse was found by the Brumbies and adopted as the team mascot.
With no name and wearing a only a t-shirt and board shorts, the horse was taken to the Brumbies training centre where he was fitted with a full Brumbies playing kit and his own specially designed rugby boots.
Unsure of what to call the horse since he couldn't speak, Brumbies officials decided to take a public vote on a name for the new team mascot.
Over 10,000 people took part in the vote and five names were chosen before the people of Canberra eventually decided on the name 'Brumby Jack'.
Since then Brumby Jack has become the most popular member of the Brumbies squad.
Some of his game day antics include a pre-game ritual of tackling the tackle bag, sky-diving, riding his hovercraft, throwing special give aways into the crowd and pumping up the Canberra Stadium crowd.
Last season Brumby Jack was given his own personal car...'Brum'
