Congratulations to the Uni-Norths Owls Women's side who have defeated the Canberra Royals Women's side on Saturday 9th August to claim their first championship title since 2009.

The Owls finished the season as Minor Premiers thanks to a favourable for-and-against which was all that seperated them and Royals on the table. Royals were able to defeat Uni-Norths in the Major Semi Final thanks to some impressive attacking rugby and desperate defense. However the Owls were able to turn it around in the Grand Final to do what Royals did to them winning the Grand Final 27-12. Owls fullback Anthea Clarke was a standout scoring three tries including one long range effort from inside the Owls 22m which saw her awarded the Hahn Super Dry Player of the Match.
