First Division




The ACT's First Division encompasses teams from the Canberra and it’s surrounding regions.ADFA, RMC, Yass, Goulburn, Hall and Cooma make up the 2015 First Division Competition with all clubs having a 1st and 2nd grade team. The competition will kick start on Saturday 11th April and will be played over 15 rounds with 2 competition byes (ANZAC Day Weekend & the June Long Weekend). The Grand Final will take place on Saturday 22nd August.


2014 Finals Sum-up

Congratulations to the Goulburn Dirty Reds and Hall Bushrangers who have taken out 2014  Monaro First Division 1st and 2nd Grade Grand Finals on Saturday 23rd August 2014 in Goulburn.  

Goulburn finished the regular as Minor Premiers in 1st Grade and capped off a perfect season defeating Cooma Red Devils comprehensively 69-6 in very miserable condition. Goulburn were never really troubled on the day, but full credit to Cooma who fought hard until the final whistle.

While Hall were able to overcome undefeated Minor Premier’s Goulburn 13-12 in a hard fought match preventing Goulburn from defending their 2013 title.

Goulburn 69 (Tries - Wilcox 3, Williams, Hook, McKillop, Clements, Newby, Greaves, Webb & Roberts; Conversion – Falk 6, Brims 1) defeated Cooma 6 (Penalty Goals – Morgan 2)
